We ate lunch at State Street Brats on a rare warm spring day. We were attracted to the place because of its patio overlooking State Street, a good spot for some of the best people watching around. Unfortunately, the restaurant seemed a little understaffed for the nice weather. We ordered our food at the bar, which took some time, but... More

Typical college bar, but contrary to the name, much more than just brats on the menu. The Rib-Eye sandwich is very good. Cheese curds are melt in your mouth as well. Great variety on the menu and reasonably priced considering it is in Madison. The staff is very friendly and efficient too. If you're on the State Street Mall, this... More

They do a very nice job - straightforward, very good food. On game days expect to have it too loud to talk - with a young family our major negative.

Red brat, perfectly done, in a light roll in a basket of fries = delish! You just have to choose: classic or waffle fries? Beer selection varies by season. There is always a perfect brew waiting.

Don't get me wrong... The food was good - a step above traditional bar food. Love hose cheese curds and Spotted Cow beer. Was there on Saturday afternoon and had to place food order at he bar... Odd. Been there a few times while in town - always leave full.

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat. The food came out fast and the food was great. The prices weren't too bad and there was free bar popcorn. The only downside: they advertise 'spicy' fries. The fries aren't spicy, it's more like salt and pepper. I'd go back, it was very good!

This is your traditional campus bar. Had some bar food that served its purpose (greasy, but very tasty). Lots of nice TVs, friendly staff, and lots of local beers on tap. Hard to complain.

We went before a 2:30PM Badger game and could barely find a table by 11AM. Once we did find a table outside, service was prompt and friendly. All the fans around us were friendly and helped to add to the spirit of game day. Food recommendation: red brats with onion rings. Get there early on a game day. Go with... More

The BEST sports bar I've ever hoisted a brew and downed a brat at. There for Wisconsin vs Michigan State, and the energy of the crowd and the fun atmosphere are unparallelled. A two story gem, with a beautiful outdoor area on scenic State Street, and it lives up to its billing. Beer and food avg price and avg quality,... More

Went there with my family for lunch. Reuben Brat was great!! Cheese curds were not good. Seem to come from a box. Not homemade. Waffle frys were burnt. Pop for the kids was in a pitcher and was mostly ice. not a good value.
