deserves somewhere between three and 4 stars. the food is good but nothing super. pleasant place with friendly , efficient waitstaff. a child-friendly place.
My wife has many food sensitivities and can eat only certain ingredients. The waiters at the restaurant were extremely helpful in examining the menu with her. When the regular menu items did not appear to meet her needs, they made her a very tasty spinach dish and a squash/lentil dish. Both were delicious and we truly appreciated their respect and... More
I have never given a 1 review, but this came close. The chef clearly doesn't understand Indian spice and overall the food was just edible. They could however cook cauliflower, great. Service started ok, but went down hill when the covers got to 20 percent. Rubbish.
Very good Indian food for a reasonable price. Staff is nice and helpful. Atmosphere is inexpensive but comfortable. If you go here a lot, you'll get to know the soundtrack.
The selection was large and the presentation was nice. The food was well-seasoned. There were no surprises and no disappointments. The waiter packaged the food for take out very well. I'll be happy to go back there.
Enjoyed the lunch buffet on a weekday. Friendly waiters, fresh food. Large selection. Lots of veg choices along with enough meat to keep meat-eaters satisfied as well. We spent just over $30 for 3 people and enjoyed some fresh mango juice as well. Very satisfying.
We came here for a late lunch buffet on a Sunday, and we practically had the place to ourselves. There was a huge variety of foods on the buffet, with about a 50/50 split of meaty vs. vegetarian options. Most of the items weren't super spicy, which I'm sure they have to do on the buffet to meet most people's... More
First let me say that I'm picky as Hell when it comes to Indian food. I really wasn't expecting much from this place when I was taken there, but I was pleasantly surprised. The food was tasty and authentic, i.e. not toned down for the Western palate. Whilst not close to the best Indian food I've had, the dishes were... More
Good authentic food and friendly staff. Good options for vegetarians. Their lunch buffet is not that great. They have Kingfisher beer which is my favorite and the best part - this restaurant was just seconds from my hotel.
Maharaja is my favorite Indian buffet. Lots of choices, and I typically like just about everything on the buffet. They do a good job of keeping the food stocked, and nothing is too spicy. That being said, the Indian people I know like Swagat better. But I will return to Maharaja again and again.
