This was our first experience with Park Grill Restaurant in Gatlinburg, TN and despite some of the previous reviews, were very pleased we dined there on May 13th.
First let's address the decor. We found nothing horrifying about it, even though we never saw how it used to be. It did appear a little odd to pair the black &...

My wife and I enjoyed an excellent meal here; the chef does a great job. Because this was our first time we were not burdened by the past decor - we thought the place looked great! The salmon was wonderful.
We used to love the Park Grill with it' s rustic atmosphere and outstanding service. Even had my parents 50th wedding anniversary there but we went there tonight and things have changed but not for the better. Atmosphere was cold and stark and staff were not very welcoming. The server was polite but had no personality. Next came the food,...

I visit Gatlinburg on average a couple of times a year and always make it a point to visit the park grill. Pricing is right, the food is well above average, and the staff has always gone out of their way for us. In addition pricing for children's meals is the child's age...there is even steak on the kids menu....

Oh, no .... our former favorite restaurant in Gatlinburg has gone "Chic". Since it opened, the Park Grill had captured the spirit and heritage of a classic Appalachian mountain lodge. We would always request a seat in the Bear Wallow, with it's intimate rustic decor, and be served by Don, who is a wonderful host. On a recent visit we...

My husband and I were in Gatlinburg for work/vacation. We wanted a light dinner after a heavy afternoon lunch. We were very impressed with the all you can eat salad bar which offers more than 40 items at an extremely reasonable price. Definitely a must if you are in the mood for a great salad including smoked oysters and ham,...

The owner should fire his managers and anyone else who did not tell him what a mistake he was making! So, white marble tables, black furniture, with open log ceilings? You gotta be kidding me? OMG the lighting? What the heck were you thinking? You just ruined the nicest building in Gatlinburg?
Once we got past the GOSH AWFUL DECOR...

Good food, service atmosphere and pretty good value we thought. Prices were not too bad for the overall experience. We ate a meal at the Hilton which was quite poor in comparison to this.
We did take a taxi back to our hotel(Park Vista) up on the hill ; did not ask the price before and got dinged $10 for...

Spent 1 week in Gatlinburg on vacation, and ate at the Park Grill twice. The food was, on average, very good. Including one of the best cheeseburgers I've ever had. They also have a solid salad bar and good desserts. It's basic american fare, but very nicely done.
The real surprise though was the price. Considering that Gatlinburg is very...
