Description: Dressler is the natural outgrowth of the dining concept that owner Colin Devlin successfully implemented at his first Williamsburg restaurant, Dumont: a neighborhood restaurant featuring a straight forward, thoughtful and well executed menu, well informed and sincere service, and a warm and gracious atmosphere. Dressler adopts this formula and reaches just a bit further, with a more ambitious menu and wine list, and a room that was carefully crafted from a completely raw state into a warm yet compelling dining space accented by intricate metal work from Navy Yard artisan sculptors. Executive chef Polo Dobkin was awarded 2 stars by Frank Bruni of the New York Times in 2007 and 1 star by the Michelin Guide in 2008,2009, and 2010 for his accessible, seasonal new American cuisine. Dressler has received accolades from magazines such as The New Yorker, New York Magazine, Gourmet & Travel & Leisure among others.

I was here last night, food was good. Martini's served in very weird glasses. A bit strange for me, anyway it was recommended for a great romantic first date, my opinion is different. The place was extremely loud and we sat in between other people whose table was on top of ours, so the romantic part went out the window.... More

2nd trip and each one great. Value is excellent for fantastic foods from appetizer to desserts. This trip we had appetizers of ribs & scallops. Entrees included seafood, beef, pork, & chix, and everyone was VERY pleased. Best of all is the service. Very friendly & attentive.

Our daughter took us to Dressler for dinner on a visit to Williamsburg. The menu really has something for everyone. While the appetizers looked good, we decided to start with a small plate of BBQ pork ribs. They were very tasty, and the sauce on them made the dish. My wife got the sea bass, my daughter got the lamb... More

We had a good brunch at Dressler. The Bloody Mary's, made with Tito's Handmade Vodka were delicious. I had the Pecorino Fritatta, and my husband really enjoyed the Pepperoncini, Arugula & Goat Cheese Omelet. However, make sure if you have a reservation the hostess checks you in! We made a reservation via OpenTable, and despite my saying upon check-in, "Hi... More

The Dressler is a really great restaurant. It's pricey, but you get what you pay for in terms of food and service. All the servers are really friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and the portions are correctly sized (always a feat in more upscale NYC restaurants). The atmosphere is perfect for a night out... busy and energetic, but... More

The food is excellent, the decor lovely, the service very good; however the entire experience was ruined by the loud music blaring over our table. It made dinner conversation impossible. I asked the waiter if anything could be done (we had to shout at each other to be heard while having this conversation) and they did turn it down for... More

I booked this Restaurant from Australia because of all the great reviews I had read. I wanted a special Restaurant for my husband's Birthday while we were visiting New York. I was delighted at the level of service we received. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We were both thrilled at our dining experience at Dressler restaurant. It was... More

On the edge of gentrified Williamsburg Brooklyn, Dressler has established itself as a prime example of modern dining combining market fresh ingredients, inventive preparation and personal service. The environment has a whimsical feel with intricately cut steel fleur-de-lis patterns that on closer examination incorporate Alice in Wonderland images. Like Alice your culinary trip down the rabbit hole will yield unexpected... More

Went to Dressler on a Sunday evening and was impressed by the simlple elegance, crisp friendlyservice and imaginative, if somewhat limited menu...which means what they do fix is excellent! A great place for that special dinner!
