Description: For a true Baltimore experience, one you can share with your family and out of town guests - the very best Baltimore has to offer - come in for a HON experience. Baltimore Sun critic Rob Kaspers writes, "the decor is theatrical, but the food is real and flavorful." Open since 1992 and home of Hampden's first brunch, Cafe HON prides itself on offering Baltimore's Best bread pudding, and every dessert, gravy, sauce, soup, and dressing is made from scratch. Cafe HON welcomes families and large groups, and our children's menu has lots of tempting options for the little Hon's. If hanging in a bar is more your style, check out the HON Bar right next door. The HON Bar offers a full menu plus Happy Hour 7 days a week. Stop in for a ice cold beer and our award winning HOT wings.

The controversial Cafe Hon which was featured on celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay's show has a warm and fun vibe. You enter the pink, black and blue hued restaurant ( which features an enormous flamingo over its door) and are face-to-face with none other than Elvis. The booths are comfortable if a tad small and the rosy theme actually works great... More

We had breakfast at Café Hon. With all the hype of this restaurant being featured in one of Gordon Ramsay’s show; this place is a bit disappointing. I ordered a simple two-eggs breakfast that came with potatoes and bacon. The potatoes were burnt, the bacon was too crunchy and it had a very bland taste. My partner ordered eggs Benedict... More

The Sunday brunch reservation was for 10:45 and when we arrived, the hostess was busy clearing tables so a queue had formed at the at the door. After waiting about 10 minutes we were seated. There was an obviously short staff situation as we noticed lot of people were late getting their drinks or food. Our server was pretty good... More

New Chef Manny has really improved execution and added a few twists to Hon's basic menu. Food is good, prices are fair, service is charming, most times, and atmosphere is fun. Good go to spot.

We have been going here for brunch for years. I have never been disappointed with either the service or the food. When you come you will be getting a quality 'home cooked' style meal. The portions are good. If a satisfying meal the will fill you up is what you seek, Cafe Hon is worth the visit. During the warmer... More

I've been here several times since discovering how close the restaurant is to campus. I've tried multiple dishes and each one has been fantastic - especially the Beef Sliders. The wait staff has been friendly and quick each time. So I've definitely enjoyed the place from this standpoint. More recently, I participated in a karaoke fundraiser here for a student... More

My husband and I are on a quest to find a great brunch spot in the Baltimore metro area. We went on a Saturday morning and although parking was at a premium, we quickly found a spot. We got a seat in the window and was quickly served our mimosas which were great. The cafe was hopping and our server... More

Reuben sandwich is a winner. Good drinks, friendly and quick service. Parking is terrible and the towtrucks are waiting to get you. Sunday morning is crazy!

Cafe Hon is essentially about comfort food in a quirky neighborhood. Yes, the pink flamingo on the roof should say enough! Stay away from the 'creative' dishes and stick to the tried and true.
