The bar is located in the middle of a block. It has a rustic look with most of the cliental from the neighborhood. The food menu is limited but enough choices for beers. a good place for a drink or two if you happened to be in the neighborhood

service was fast and friendly. hip atmosphere, especially in the bar. the classics are always great there: chateaubriand sous vis for 2, 25 oz tomahawk ribeye, veal chop, miso cod, chicken liver pâte, pork belly starter, kobe burger. had the scallop/shrimp scampi risotto. the lemon lightened it up. mom's veal chop was smoky and flavorful and large. wife had the... Part of my dining out experience is the service. I enjoyed the meal with much pleasure, but the service was very poor. I ate at the bar and the male bartender was very rude and not attentive. I think he was more interested in watching the golf game on the TV monitor. I will be back and will request main... More

I've eaten at Blue Hill several times a year since it opened nearly four years ago and have never been disappointed. This time I went with a friend who had never been and she was pleased that it truly lived up to its reputation for delicious food. I had the surf and turf (crab cake and filet) and she had... More

Another great experience at BHT. Jonathon waited on us again and he did a fantastic job. My wife started with the smoked oysters and she called them the star of the evening. I had a cream of mushroom soup that was out of this world. For our entrees, my wife had the Bronzini special which she thoroughly enjoyed and I... More

First (and now) last time here...nice atmosphere and good service. But: - foie gras was runny and looked awful - flat bread pizza? It was not a flat bread just overpriced mushroom pizza - the bread before the meal was old: chewy and dry, but reheated to appear fresh - pork was dry with some sort of deep fried potato... More

We visited Blue Hill Tavern with another couple and were not disappointed! Such a mix of eclectic flavors in every dish!! We started with a couple appetizers- the bacon scallop- not your typical bacon wrapped scallop & breaded mozzarella - both we're delish and got us ready for the meal. We also ordered the blt salad ans the beet salad-... More

Had dinner there for the first time last weekend and overall the food and service was solid. It is not an exceptional place, but has a solid selection of food and drinks. The wine selection is somewhat limited but is very reasonably priced. Neighborhood is a bit quiet but a good change of pace.

We needed a place to get together to catch up with friends and celebrate multiple birthdays and an anniversary. It was easy to get a reservation for 6 on a Sunday evening. Blue jeans and dress shirts are acceptable attire even though the restaurant has a formal modern feel. Our group met in the bar; we had just enough time... More
