We ate here on after reading some great reviews. We ordered the "Mercy Mercy" plate, or mystery plate, after hearing great things... Master cook, revolutionary, etc. One of the plates was rice, beans, tortilla strips, pork belly and veggies. The other was an omelette. Okay food, but exciting and different? Not at all. $16 was too much to pay per... More

I cannot say anything nice. Skip it save your money and go to a highly recommended Astoria eatery. Any one of them will be cleaner.

We stopped in for breakfast based on local recommendations. Funky place with fun atmosphere. It was just my wife and I and two other patrons. We ordered two breakfast specials. The food took about 30 minutes for egg dishes while the cook (who said he only had one grill) talked politics, etc. with other patrons. Unfortunately, while was doing this... More

We came here on a cold and windy Sunday evening. Pretty much every other business in Astoria was closed so we were pleasantly surprised that the Columbian Cafe was open and would accommodate us and our 1 year old baby. It was good that we got there early because there was only one other couple there. Since it was early... More

Much of the fun of visiting the Columbian Cafe is the contrast. On the one hand, you're eating in a tiny, funky, and somewhat unkempt little (did I mention the word "tiny") diner. On the other, the meals are richly crafted comfort food (yes, that means locally sourced bacon, meats, seafood, cheeses, and fresh pastas made in-house), served by staff... More

Just stopped by for breakfast after our gym workout.. delicious smoked salmon omelette, served with toast and assortment of housemade jellies. Going back for the crepes soon! ;)

Nice people, cool place, surrounding small portions of blah food. My chicken sausage hash was actually a tiny smattering of lukewarm taters bits sprinkled with 3 tiny slices tasteless sausage. Awful. If it were not for the toast, I'd have had to go eat again after the meal somewhere else. It took 50 minutes to get our food too. I... More

I like the set up and the chairs are cozy , it has a good feeling to it. Wifi is always a plus at any coffee shop.

Oh man, this is the bomb of food in Astoria. There is so much offered here. They are always making fresh from scratch stuff. blue bread is kick butt. breakfast is unbeatable. nothing ordinary here. go hot. they love peppers here. full bar next door.
