Our timing was perfect, having breakfast there on Saturday. Note they're closed on Sundays and Mondays, so make sure you plan ahead. There was a short line, but glad we persisted, it was pretty quick actually 5-10 minutes. Once we were seated the waitress was helpful, and gave us time to look through the menu. The food came out very... More

Ate breakfast here today, and have eaten here on previous trips to Phily. The place is very busy, and yiuo may have to wait a few minutes to get a seat at the counter. Alternatively if you want, you can order from the take out station and eat at one of the central dining tables area. Accessibility: while the building... More

It ok for breakfast. I would stick to the blueberry pancakes though. It's a healthy portion of food but not as wonderful as I was hoping for based on other reviews. I was with four others and we all agree.

This place used to be good, in fact, very good. But it has changed. The food is now just about passing but the service is the worst! I ordered a takeout sandwich today and had to wait nearly 15 minutes and then deal with a short, nasty waitress to boot. They used to have an older guy who may have been... More

Had breakfast here for a week during a recent business stay - much more atmospheric and better value than hotel breakfast! Super speedy service, good quality and huge portions - all served with a smile. What more coud you ask for?

Counter seating like in a diner, laminated 2-side menu and excellent service from our Amish citizens. The coffee was unexpectedly really good, and I loved my oatmeal with brown sugar - simple, tasty, and better than what I make at home. My daughter's pancakes had awesome cinnamon and what tasted like fresh butter. She's very hard to please and she... More

The Dutch Eating Place, in the Reading Terminal Market, is an experience that my wife and I always seek out whenever we are in Philadelphia. We go for the breakfast. The place is small, crowded, and the wait in line can be long. It is worth it for the food; even the wait is an opportunity to see the sights... More
