An Italian friend told us that Colombe offered the best coffee in Philadelphia and that we should check it out while visiting. While the rest of the experience of this place is average (I'm referring to food items, ambiance), the coffee is truly worth trying. I am picky about my espresso and believe this place offers some of the best... More

La Colombe have 2 locations in Philadelphia. One off Rittenhouse Square and the other in Dilworth Plaza. I tried both and they deliver consistently good (espresso machine) coffee, although I think the Dilworth Plaza location does a better job.

I came here at the recommendation of a Philly resident. The coffee and pastries are delicious. The coffee took me back to Barcelona. The flavor if the beans was amazing and the froth was perfected. I am town for a conference near city hall. As I sat near the window I could see the city move in warped speed, but... More

I used to love the strong, dark coffee at this place when it first opened many years ago so I jumped at the opportunity to visit again. I ordered a short double capuccino but what I received was all milk with barely any coffee. Very disappointing.

Love to sit with a nice cup of either their Corsica or Nizza and people watch. There are two locations in Philadelphia but the one near Rittenhouse square is the one I like the most. It has a nice kozy atmosphere.

I visited the cafe located in front of City Hall. I was there twice and the coffee was excellent both times. The first time I had pastries as well, they were first class. The staff is very friendly and you feel the pride for their work, it communicates in the coffee. Do not expect Soy Latte Tea with whatever, here... More

We stopped at La Colombe on the advice of our Frommer's guide, and for the life of me, I can't see why this was such a must-see. La Colombe itself is on the smaller side, with seating for about 20. The coffee was very good (and priced accordingly) and the almond croissant was equally as good. As for the ambience,... More

We stopped at the location close to Rittenhouse Square for coffee on our recent visit to Philadelphia. The coffee reviews were really good and I have to agree with them. Both my husband and I thought our coffees were great. The service was excellent and the ambience was terrific even though the place was pretty busy.
