There is a Chef; his offerings are delicious always. Staff is superb with Kenne being one of the best encountered anywhere. Views at sunset can't be beat or at sunrise either.

We are dinner 2 nights at the Inn dining room. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. (lots of young staff from all over). The food was good and the historic Inn is well worth the visit even if you are not staying here. We also had breakfast (on the outdoor patio) which was great.

The Inn is portrayed as an upmarket restaurant with a dress code. Sadly, the food does not match this or the high price. My steak ordered medium rare was badly over cooked and the only food that was nice was my brother's scallops and pasta. The service was slow and the restaurant felt quite stiff. Very disappointing

We had a great dinner looking at the stars. I was surprised the sea food was as it was, since Death Valley is a little out of the way :) the service was quite good as well. Remember to bring your room card, since they won't let you just sign your name and room number. The food is a bit... More

We loved eating outdoors here - breakfasts are particularly enjoyable. Staff was efficient and friendly. Dinner was good, not outstanding. The restaurant tends to run out of things (to be expected given the remote location), which can be inconvenient, there are usually sufficient choices to make changes as needed.

My wife and I decided to have breakfast at the Inn after seeing the sunrise at Zabriskie Point. We were staying at the Furnace Creek Ranch which is only about 1 mile from the Inn. There is a tunnel into the Inn from the parking lot. When we finally got into the hotel, we found the elevator was out of... More

After eating pretty crummy food in the Furnace Creek Ranch area restaurants, we decided to see the Furnace Creek Inn for choices, it was wonderful! The inn is beautiful and my husband and I sat down in the bar (reservations req'd for dinner) and had delicious margaritas and pizza flatbread and chicken quesadillas . It was so nice to relax... Staying at Inn so booked to eat at restaurant, staff very friendly. Wine recommendation worked for us and food was better than expected ( feared worst after some poor reviews). Overheard our waitress telling adjacent table chef had started there recently, perhaps injected better overall quality?? Price not disproportionate for isolated location.

Everything was delicious. Presentation was beautiful. Service was excellent! Very pricey but understand the transportation issues.

After a sunrise trip to both Zabriskie Point and Dante's View we arrived back at the Inn for breakfast on the Terrace around 9 AM. There were only a few tables filled in the dining room and two couples on the patio so we breezed in and grabbed a seat on the terrace with a wonderful view. It is good... More
