Stumbled upon this place on our first morning in NY. We ordered the Haevous Rancheros (spelling?) - basically fried egg on a corn tortilla with black beans. It was delicious. Would also recommend the freshly squeezed OJ. The coffee was pretty decent as well. More

We went to Cafe Condesa as we were told it was a really good Mexican restaurant by a couple of different people. However, there wasn't a single mexican dish on the menu. We had salmon for the main course and it was over cooked compared to what we are used to. I had an affogato for dessert which came in... More

Arrived at 945am on a saturday at port authority& found a taxi immediately. About $10 and 10 min later we were in the calm of the west village, sitting at Cafe Condesa with our 13 & 15 yr old kids ordering breakfast. We started with very acceptable mugs of strong coffee. We ordered french toast w/ fresh berries(made w/ baguette-delicious... More

Tiny bistro with good food cooked on a small stove behind the bar.I have eaten here many times and always had a good dinner. Anyone I've have taken here has also been happy. I don't eat meat so I usually order the salmon or the ravioli. They have a very nice wine selection and the service is usually good. Do... More

We were wandering around looking for something to eat and this place caught our eye because it seemed to be kind of a fusion-y food place - plus it had baked brie and you really can't go wrong with that. We ordered baked brie, hanger steak, bass, a glass of wine(1 glass), a coffee and dessert - all told $70... More

We were wandering around the Village checking out menus posted on windows when we found Cafe Condesa. This is a very small restaurant with only 8 tables and all the cooking is done in sight of the patrons. My companion had french toast with bacon and both of us agreed the bacon was the best we'd ever had. I had... More

A great hidden find in the west village! The food surprising good and incredibly affordable. Be sure to try the lamb. The striped bass in tomato broth was quite delicious as well. For appetizer, we had the warm brie cheese with baguettes and it was very very good. Highly recommended! More

This place was recommended in our local magazine so we decided to try it on March 29 for breakfast. They are somewhat out of the way in the West Village, but the tiny cafe offers a very welcoming and cozy ambiance. The food was simple but with the reasonable prices we couldn't complain. It is what I imagine the locals... More
