Very small place a lot of lights the food was very good the service was ok this was om april and my first time in ny and eating indian food.

The barkers fighting for your business as you walk up the steps (go to the LEFT!), the red lights, the cramped seating, the happy birthday tune, the food - sometimes really tasty, sometimes completely bland....this is great place to visit now and again. No booze though. Indian beer can be purchased in the shop directly below the restaurant.

The atmosphere is unlike anything I have seen before. They don't serve alcohol, but you can get some downstairs. This isn't the place if you want quaint and quiet, but it's a total blast and assault on the visual senses plus food is cheap & delicious.
