We attempted to dine at the Bridge Cafe but the location appeared to be closed and the phone number seemed to be disconnected (got fast busy signal).
In a very narrow street, just under the Brooklyn bridge, this small restaurant is realy worth looking for it. The food is fresh and tasty but post of all, they serve the best carrot cake I ever eat with an incredible topping. You may also enjoy whiskeys. You should definitely try them: for sure, there musts be one for you.... More
Very good food value and service stop in if you get the chance beside the Brooklyn bridge nice views and history
I adore this Small nostalgic Restaurant. A visit to NYC would not be fullfilled without A visit here. The Menu is amazing and so it the whole experience .. I could rattle on for hours about the merits of this great eatery but instead would prompt any visitor to try it out for themselves and soak up the atmosphere and... More
I had lunch at the Bridge Cafe on a recent trip to NYC. I met up with two gentlemen I was interviewing with. The Bridge Cafe is very unassuming from the outside, once you step inside, its like a time capsule taking you back a couple hundred years (yes, the restaurant has been there a couple hundred years). The menu... More
Cozy clean place, knowledgeable proud owner, great food, reasonable price, ... We sat at the bar and listened to the proud owner ( I guess he was the owner :) explaining the structure and the history of the cafe. It's not actually that easy to find.
Delightful restaurant with good food. Service a bit slow but we had time to sit and enjoy the mellow atmosphere. I had the special fritatta which was excellent (it was the Canadian bacon that sold me). My partner had eggs benedict and he said it was the best ever! Coffee was good too. Lovely bread basket ... scones with butter... More
Cozy little tavern under the bridge with excellent food. We walked from Brooklyn on the bridge and stopped in. Got a table right away. Food was very well prepared. Large portions. Side dishes available so we thought you needed to order veg separately but got more on our plates as well. So sides not necessary to order! Pleasant capable staff.... More
I found this place while surfing the hotel recommendations, and when they said they had soft shell crabs on the web site I decided to gamble, since I was in the mood. I was a bit wary since the regular menu wasn't that interesting. The cafe is ancient, easy to find, and almost under the bridge. We got there at... More
We found this restaurant on Trip Advisor since we were staying in the financial district. It is just south of the Brooklyn Bridge. The restaurant is fairly small with tin celings and a bar along one long side of the room. It is simple and atmospheric. We were greeted warmly and when we found the air conditioning too high and...
