The Lobster Place is a seafood-lover's delight. Choose from all kinds of fresh and quality raw seafood or simply opt for a signature steamed lobster made to order and steaming bowls of seafood chowders and bisques. Steamed lobsters are priced from $19. There is no seating available in The Lobster Place though.

I really love chelsea market for the environment. There are a lot of amazing little stores and restaurants. This is definitely the first place that will come into my mind when I think about eating lobsters. You get to choose the lobster you want and they will cook it for you freshly in their kitchen.

We had an amazing time at this restaurant from the minute we walked in. We spent at least 2 hours here just grazing from station to station. We stopped at the Cull & Pistol Oyster bar, got a Dale's Pale Ale and enjoyed oysters from all around the US. Then we tried the seafood chower bar. I am lactose intolerant... More

My husband and I had lunch at The Lobster Place recently. The seafood was fresh and tasty. We especially enjoyed the crab cake sandwich on an english muffin. It was full of crab meat and not much filler. The accompanying sauce on the bun was flavorful. The sushi was also very fresh as we watched it being prepared in front... More

Recently stopped in and couldn't resist grabbing a seat at the sushi bar. The staff is very friendly and the sushi is amazing. The Otoro, Hamachi, and Hotate were wonderful. Very fresh, melt in your mouth goodness. Add a Sapporo and it is heaven! The establishment sells fresh fish and other dining options as well which were being enjoyed by... More

In Chelsea market (which is an experience by itself...many cute shops and bakeries in an industrial look (former Oreo manufacturer)) you will find Lobster Place. We had brunch here with 2 persons for only $ 35. We had some really great sushi (very fresh!) and seafood/noodle salad. Our neighbours had a freshly cooked lobster which also looked amazing. Go there... More

The fish shop offers a fantastic take-away service where you can buy from shellfish to sushi and, obviously, their steamed lobster. Everything so fresh and delicious. A few desks are available to eat directly there. OK, it hasn't all the comforts of a restaurant (and this is not its target) but, in my opinion, also considering the fantastic context of... More

I was delighted when The Lobster Place re-opened after an extensive interior renovation. The presentation of the fresh seafood is first class. This place feels and looks like fresh fish and seafood heaven. And now you can order at the raw bar and consume all the shucked oysters and clams you can handle. Everything is done right before your eyes... More

The lobster roll was just okay, it was tasty but not spectacular. For the same / similar price better to go to Red Hook Lobster and have the Connecticut roll. Now that is fantastic. We had toro at $8 a piece, about half of what you might pay at Nobu. But it would have been nice to be able to... More
