Wee came from Texas just to have lunch at this Cafe, we were told the food was good and I was not disapointed with my Ruben's Sandwich.
Found this cafe by chance on our 3rd day after eating in a few other places. Great little cafe with friendly staff fantastic food and prices to match. I had an omlette and then a pancake stack. For 2 of us to have breakfast it cost 11 dolllars this is alot better than the 25 dollars we paid the day... More
I stopped here and ordered a soup and wrap. It was easy and just what I wanted. There was space upstairs to eat and sky news on the TV as well as a street view. The soup was very nourishing and my thai chicken wrap was quite good.
We stopped into Green Cafe because it was the first place we saw when we started looking for a place to eat lunch. All three of us ordered sandwiches and we were all happy with them. I especially liked mine which was turkey brie and honey mustard. They also had salads made to order and hot soups, but we did... More

We are all vegetarians and we had limited... More
It's not easy to eat in Manhattan for a European. If you want to eat healthy and diverse food quickly, we highly recommend the Green Cafe chain. The fare is simple and straightforward, with hot sandwiches, breakfast staples and great salads, complemented by fresh smoothies. Green Cafe is the perfect place for a healthy meal any time of the day... More
This Cafe has a hot buffet selection that goes for 7.99 a pound, which I think is too much but then again it is midtown. I will say this their salmon is juicy and delicious. I always grab a few ounces of that for lunch to get in the good fat we need for our diets. I also get a... More
It was ok - I could leave it at that and you would know what to expect. I had a 'super rueben' with vinegar-y potato salad, all decent, nothing outstanding. One daughter had teryaki chicken and mac and cheese (teenagers, sigh) and didn't like either. The other daughter had a chicken fajita panini and side salad. The sandwich was just... More
I enjoyed the steak salad sitting looking at views of the statue of liberty. A little pricey, but worth it if you are visiting NYC and want a break at battery park.
