Found Swizz while I was having a cheese craving on a visit to NYC. It was a great find. We were late for our reservation due to major traffic but the hostess/owner? was great didn't say anything and sat us. (they were not crowded at all) I was there with my mother and we decided to split a ceasar salad,...

Great authentic Fondue and good Swiss food generally. Fairly spartan interior with Swiss wait staff, felt very authentic (only the Aromat or Maggi was missing). Good value for money and and prompt friendly service. Be aware that many dishes are for healthy alpine appetities. Might make sense to share some dishes, particularly the raclette which is awesome especially with a...

Amazingly this restaurant was almost empty at 7.00pm on a Friday night, perhaps because it's not on 8th Avenue itself but down a quiet side street. We chose a Swiss restaurant to try their raclette, which is a perfect meal for a cold Manhattan evening. The raclette was excellent, and the $15 appetizer size was ample for me - a...

We had a table of 8 people and most of us ordered cheese fondue - and a few had the beef fondue. All of it was very good. Salads (side and entree portions) were also very good. They have a good assortment of wines by the glass and a limited, but fairly priced, selection by the bottle. We would go...

As this is a Swiss restaurant it was mandatory to order the fondue. We began with the cheese fondue as an appetizer. It reminded me of my meals in Geneva. The Wiener schnitzel was a fine entrée. The beef fondue was accompanied by a generous portion of beef, veal, shrimp and vegetables. The fondue itself was not exceptionally flavorful, but...

Stopped in here prior to watching a 7 PM entertainment event. Charming little place. I had the mushroom dish with rosti and my spouse had the veal with rosti. The rosti was fabulous and the veal was tender. Nice located right off 8th avenue so it's erfect for your pre-theater swiss craving. We'll definately return the next time we visit...

This restaurant serves fondue as well as a variety of other dishes. I dined here twice during my trip to New York, and both times the experience was good. The prix fixe menu offers a good value, and the food is savory. I will return.
After having fondue for the first time in New York over 30 years go, I have always equated the city with the dish. Back then the place to go was La Fondue. Well it took me nearly 20 years to get back to the city and I had a craving for fondue. Unfortunately, La Fondue had closed down so my...

My spouse and I thoroughly enjoyed dinner at the Swizz Restaurant - he had the Veal Sausage with Onion Sauce and I had the Veal with Mushrooms Zurich Style. It was so authentic and tasted just like the meal I had in Zurich in January. We will go again with friends and plan to share the cheese fondue for starters....
