I was surprised the first time I went here. There was a long line and I was with two thirteen year old boys who had just been to the beach. They were starved and I was reticent. The wait was surprisingly short and when we got in, we were all overwhelmed with the quality of the food as well as... More

It had been some years since I had a Hodad's burger. I was in town visiting family. Taking in a Padres game, I noticed a Hodad's at the ballpark. We had the all-you-can-eat seats, so no chance to indulge in a Hodad's burger that day. A few days later however, I was downtown with my bro when we noticed another... More

They are definitely in the top 3 places in San Diego to have a burger. The Pacific Beach location is the original. The burgers are huge, messy, and definitely worth the drive out here. The frings are a meal in it self.

I was hesitant going to this joint with three young kids, but they were very kind and accommodating! The good was super yummy, we tried the "guido", which was inspired by DDD. The fries were super fat, well seasoned and crispy. They brought us ranch for dipping and gave us as much as we wanted! It was a fun hip... More

The burgers are really good. The shakes are huge and good as well. The atmosphere in this place is just awesome. Perfect for anyone who is looking for good burgers in a authentic socal surfer atmosphere! There usually is a line though.

Excellent burger. Very helpful and courteous staff. Funky styling, has a bar feel, but everyone is just so friendly. Couldn't ask for much more.

The burgers are messy and amazing! The cheese and topping ooze out and require the consumate "diaper". The people who work there are so funny. Mike the owner is hands-on in his business and totally hot. It is a casual, local experience.

Nuthin' fancy, just a beer, the best burger in the world and lots of napkins...then go walk it off at the beach!

We stopped at Hodad's on a Friday morning just after 11 a.m. and still had to wait to get in, but it was totally worth it. Three of us had the small size burgers and one had the regular size. The small burger is even giant! So tasty! The price is right, too... very inexpensive. We were served pretty fast,... More

Was looking for a place to eat and saw this place was packed. So I thought I would give it a try. Glad I did. The Guido burger was fantastic.
