Saturday night in Old Town is flat-out busy, with many restaurants competing for your dining dollar. Based on Trip Advisor reviews, we decided to try Miguel's. The wait was going to be 40 minutes but the hostess encouraged us to check for tables in the lounge--a dining area adjacent to the bar. A table was empty so we were seated... More

While visiting Old Town in San Diego, we ducked in a Mexican restaurant for an early dinner. The menu was extensive with a variety of choices. We arrived during the last part of "happy hour" (which was 4-6pm). Not only were the drinks discounted, but an abbreviated food menu was also available. We got several different dishes to taste the... More

was here for a wedding rehearsal dinner in a group of about 40-50 people. the menu was limited for our group, but the steak fajitas, and tortilla chips and queso were amazing! It was a lot of food, and I couldn't eat it all even though I really wanted to because it was super delicious. More

The white sauce they serve with the chips is to die for good. The rest of the food and drinks are great as well but for me its all about the sauce. More

Newly opened, this location is beautifully decorated. The menu is extentive with all the typical offerings and then some. There were 6 of us including 2 children and everyone was happy with their food selection. Margaritas a cold and delicious. The jalapeno cheese sauce that comes to the table with chips is amazing. I had the burrito special with shrimp... More

A large table of friends, including infant, were seated on the upstairs balcony during a busy Sunday afternoon. Service was generally attentive, and I was very pleased to receive a printed Gluten Free menu on request. I had Barb's Caisar salad :sononoran spiced shrimp were tasty, but the carnitas was on the dry side, and needed salt and much more... More

I went during happy hour on a Tuesday. I ordered 4 different kinds of tacos, all wonderful. Agave margarita hit the spot, service very attentive and friendly. I ate at 4 Mexican restaurants this trip, and Miguel's was our hands-down favorite. A bonus is that it is steps away from the gated side entrance to the Best Western Plus Hacienda... More

We went here for dinner while in town for vacation/business trip because we wanted to try something else because we always go to the other Mexican restaurants in Old Town and wanted a new experience. The food was bland when compared with most Mexican food and the drinks we had were overpriced for the amount of alcohol they had in... More

We are always kind of skeptical of eating establishments in very touristy area. As others have mentioned we absolutely loved the jalapeño cream sauce with chips. Their in house salsa was the best that we tried in Southern CA and AZ. The other Tex-Mex fare was above average and take home boxes appear to be the norm, as servings are... More
