Based on reviews, Las Hadas and La Puerta were highly rated. I chose Las Hadas because they had a happy hour menu that looked quite reasonable. Overall, the previous reviews did not match the experience, but this could be due to the fact that I only ordered off of the happy hour menu. Specifically, the happy hour El Jefe margarita... More

We had guacamole, surf & turf tacos & a couple margaritas. Everything was good and the service was good, too. Fun place.

My friend and I were walking to the hard rock when a girl started mentioning the happy hour specials at this restaurant. We were interested after she mentioned the low prices. We had awesome food and great cheap drinks. The next day we wanted to watch the PIttsburgh Penguins game. They accommodated us right next to a large tv. This... More

We passed by here when la puerta next to it had a waiting time, r we glad we did! This was Mexican food at its best. They offered a happy hour also for beers and certain foods which is good even though we chose other items. The food was so tasty and plentiful, I highly recommend the beef skillet fajita... More

We stopped by Las Hadas around 5 pm on a Sunday night. The place was a bit loud as we caught the tail-end of the football game, but things seemed to calm down as the game concluded. The hostess and our server were both prompt and friendly. We received some corn fritters as a complimentary appetizer, and they were pretty... More

What an amazing value! We arrived during happy hour and ordered the Carne Asacia Fries (house specialty) and Steak & chicken skewers. The portions were way more than we can handle (and I usually can handle a lot - check out the pictures). Food was awesome. The best restaurant experience we had on our California vacation this year. My wife... More

To say that the Las Hadas Grill is oriented toward customer service is a huge understatement. It is more appropriate to say that the entire business model of the restaurant is customer service. We went looking for another restaurant in the Gaslamp District. Much to my chagrin - the other restaurant that I had fastidiously researched was a bar and... More

Las Hadas has a really great Taco Tuesday. They have $2 tacos, beers, and margaritas!! The steak tacos are the best because they are big strips of perfectly marinated steak!! They also offer chicken, carnitas, and shrimp and lobster tacos. The bar always has a really great atmosphere and people are always having a good time! The staff is really... More

Our visit was for brunch. We all focused on the breakfast items - namely omelettes. There was not one complaint. Omelettes, regardless of the type, were cooked to perfection and were plenty - but not overly - stuffed. As a bonus, there were free, and it seemed, unlimited mimosas for all. Great food, great service - highy recommend.

The Gaslamp District in San Diego can be a bit pricey and the food doesn't always meet expectations. Our concierge at the U.S. Grant Hotel recommended Las Hadas Grill, a bar/grill a short walk from the hotel. She even called and made a reservation for us at a place although they don't usually accept them. The service was extremely attentive,... More
