This restaurant claims to be cheap and serving greek food. It was a bit of a disappointment. We were served huge amounts of so called greek food.Cheap it was but so was also the quality of the food .Sort of a carricture of the greek cuisine.

We always go to lunch here when we are in Boston, the food is wonderfully prepared and healthy. The service is great, and we take folks there that haven't been there before. Everyone always likes it. Homey atmosphere, you feel like you are in a family's kitchen, visiting at home. Maybe that's because the space is a bit tight, but...

The fact is there's not a single place in Boston that serves good Greek food.
I grew up in the area so I've been in multiple times both before and after the renovation. The food is still not great (too oily, too spicy, salad not fresh, etc). I've been to Greece, this is not how food tastes like. But now,...

Love, love, love this place. I try and eat here every time I am on Newbury St. The greek salad with chicken is amazing and my husband always gets the gyros. I just wish I could make the avgolemono (chicken lemon soup) like they do. The prices are great too.
We've been to Steve's before, but this was our first time back since their renovations. Family owned Greek restaurant that's been a Boston mainstay forever and here's why- fabulous classic Greek food at ridiculously prices. The best Tsatshiki sause i have ever had anywhere- I could consume it by the bowlful. Their stuffed grape leaves are made on the premises....

This restaurant serves BREAKFAST all day //
My family and I went here for a breakfast/brunch because the other place had a waiting line a mile long! We were pleasantly surprised.
Location - right off Newbury Street - very centrally located // parking - very very hard - wise to find a garage // decor - wonderful view (see pic),...

I had 2 lovely meals in Steve the greek out of 3 nights spent in Boston. My husband and I love greek food and this was great authentic home cooked greek food. We had vegetarian mousaka, slow roast lamb, vine leaves, cracked wheat, lemon potatoes, baklava and more! Highly recommended.
I used to like Steves for a quick bite of greek food, simple and cheap. Now they have wine and beer and pretensions but the food is still cheap, not always well prepared. My spanikopita was light on the spinach. My companions meat was way overcooked. The rice pudding was thin and bland. I won't go back.
We have been eating at Steve's for many years, however, it had been awhile since our last visit. It was chilly in Boston the other day and we didn't feel like walking too far for lunch. We went back to Steve's for the ultimate worst meal I've ever had in Boston!
• moussaka tasted bland and artificial; • steak sandwich...
