Friendly servers bring trays of your choice of meat or vegetarian dishes to be eaten using authentic Ethiopian bread. Alchohol and great desserts are available as well. Great place to take small groups to try the many tasty offerings.

When you walk down into the dining area of the Addis Red Sea it feels as if you had entered a different world. The tables are like small round baskets. You are seated around these tables and a large thin pancake is placed on the table as both your plate and your eating utensils. Rip off a piece and scoop...

I was with a large party for a reception. We sat in the quirky L-shaped part of the upstairs (Again, probably L-shaped to me because there were so many of us trying to sit together :) ).
The appetizers (lentil filed samosas and greens in cottage cheese) and meal were wonderful, especially the chicken and fish. Vinegary veggies and something...

This is one of my great findings on this trip to Boston. I've never had Ethiopian food before, so I'm not going to comment on authenticity, but I love to cook and eat and I know good food...their food is excellent! If you have no problem eating with your hands (using their special bread for picking up food), it's great....

We went to Addis Red for the first time this past weekend primarily due to the postive reviews on TA. The decor and atmostphere was great, very warm and inviting. The food was decent but nothing special. We've had better and we've had worse. Services though was horrible. We sat down at our table for at least 10-minutes without any...

Dined here with spouse. Welcomed and seated. Menus presented and explanations provided when requested. Ordered dibulbul tips appetizer and split a Dorowot combo (Dorowot w/three veggie dishes), all served on/with injera bread. Towels provided to wash your hands before dinner. Everything was delicious, flavorful, and the perfect temperature for eating with your hands. Towelettes provided to clean your hands after...

We dine here when ever we go to the theater across the street.
The is the best Ethiopian restaurant we have been to. The food is always wonderful and we have always have gotten excellent service.
The "tables" are a bit wierd making it difficult to eat especially since they don't have silverware. I usually leave a small a pile...

I have been here several times and each time I find the food amazing. I do feel that the items tend to be different from time to time (even though they are under the same name). Perhaps this is me being forgetful. Either way, their vegetarian combo is excellent as well as their honey wine. Make sure you specify which...

I would still give this 3 stars because the food is awesome and cheap, but the service knocks off a solid 2 stars.
Too much waiting around for checks, food, and waters. When the water came, it was spilled. I guess isolated incidents can't really speak much for the restaurant as a whole, but I am going back tonight to...

We went to Addis Red Sea based on the previous trip advisor reports. We were not dissapointed and you won't be either. This restaurant was one of the highlites of our recent Boston vacation. To start with, the restaurant is a little hard to find (It is on the lower level of the building), about a one mile walk from...
