Description: Around the corner from the Fine Arts Theater in downtown Asheville, Limones Restaurant provides an inspirational mix of Mexican and Californian cuisine along with inventive bar selections served by a warm, professional staff. Long before working and training under some of San Francisco’s most talented chefs, Hugo Ramirez was raised on the intense and varied flavors native to his hometown of Mexico City. In fact, he still calls on his mother for the secrets of traditional Mexican dishes, which he reinvents in innovative and surprising ways. At Limones, Hugo’s love of Mexican food is combined with his training in french-influenced California cuisine.

We had dinner for the first time at Limones the other night on the advice of friends, and are so glad we did. Everything we had, from margaritas to ceviche to entrees, was fabulous. The menu mixes a lot of different and daring flavors, which we really enjoyed. The Coconut Margarita was wonderful. We will be back!

Got the pork chop with goat cheese mashed potatoes. Heavenly! And large enough to share. We also got the churros with hot chocolate for dessert. Next time I'll ask to skip the churros and just order the divine hot chocolate....practically s*x in a cup!

The food here was innovative and the atmosphere was very comfortable. We went with friends and were able to talk without having to yell. Great way to spend an evening with an extensive margarita list.

We ate last night at this restaurant. We shared a Cevice Verde appetizer and we each had the Sixteen Spice Roasted Chicken. After a day of hiking in the Smokeys we were still hungry and ended our night with Churros. The food was uniformly good. Our waiter made the evening really nice with his humor. The ambience was inviting as... More

Mother's Day trip to Asheville was topped off with wonderful dinner at Limones. We made reservations on our open table app. It is a good thing since they were booked till 8pm when we arrived at 6:30. The service was very good and friendly greeting of "Happy Mother's Day" was nice. I had the lamb chops and they were the... More

SO GOOD! Excellent reccomendation from the owners of Asheville Seasons B&B. Just absolutely loved the food here. One of the best meals. Have to try the Cucumber Mint margarita. Had 3! Between appetizers and our entrees, so good! So many more things on this menu I want to try. Scallops were excellent and the Sea Bass. Oh, you have to... More

We found Limones last year on our return trip from Florida to Chicago. This year we put Asheville on our trip just so we could return to Limones. Again this year, it was fabulous. The menu changes often. This year I had the lamb chops, served medium rare atop a pea risotto, spinach, and garnished with a cilantro pesto. The... More

We recently had just the best meal at Limones. The menu is sort of "New" Mex-Cali with a touch of the Caribbean! We started off with an interesting mix of fried plantains and guacamole and salsa chips, their take on salty and sweet and it really works! The plantains were perfectly prepared and the guac was just the best. Then... More

We made reservations on Open Table and this place did not disappoint at all. We had 2 appetizers: brussel sprouts and lobster nachos. Both were outstanding. My wife had a enchilada dish which wasn't amazing to me, but my short rub burger sure was. This place is small but it is fantastic!
