Outdoor dining on sidewalk, delicious Indian food freshly made. In fact I had ordered something the chef thought wasn't up to par, and he suggested two other items instead - which turned out to be great! We had one order of The Vegetarian Thali and one Tandoori Fish Wrap. Both fresh and very very tasty.

The flavors of all the different dishes are divine, the atmosphere funky (in the "good funky" kind of way), and the menu offers something for all ages and tastebuds (and has great daily specialities) :)

I have always longed for Indian street food in the US. Chai Pani offers that in Asheville NC. I took my wife's southern family there and treated them to a variety of street food, but especially their spicy, deep fried okra. It is not an expensive place, but the quality of food is excellent and it tastes like authentic Indian...

I was in Asheville over the weekend and had a chance to have lunch at Chai Pani. It's sort of hip Indian food at a reasonable price. I had the fish wrap and my son-in-law had the fish and chips. Nice casual atmosphere, food was excellent. Really worth trying out. Chai Pani doesn't hold itself out as a foodie place...

We ate here on our last night in Asheville. We had butter chicken for our thali and it was delicious. I've had butter chicken in multiple Indian restaurants but this was the spiciest one I've ever had. It was really good but after awhile my sinuses were railing against me. If they'd posted somewhere how spicy it was I may...

I have to say from the onset that I'm not a great Indian food lover, at least not the oversweet, overcoloured dishes usually served by most Indian restaurants. Forget that, Chai Pani is something completely different. The dishes are described as 'street food' so we choose four different dishes and this was plenty for the two of us. The flavours...

You can't walk by and not want to go in because it smells so good! Never tried Indian food before. My daughter has wanted to go for a year. Very cute, small restaurant. Colorfully decorated. The waiter was very nice and we asked what he recommended. My daughter and I shared three different small plates. Excellent! I only gave 4...

This was a Trip Advisor find and highly recommended by the locals. We went on Friday night about 6:00 so we could listen to more of the drumming in Pritchard Park, right in the heart of downtown. It was about half full, the service was great, and the food...oh, what happy mouths. The decor is simple and attractive with colorful...

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. Not being all that familiar with Indian street food, we asked our waiter to bring out a selection of two or three things he'd recommend we try. We were not disappointed! He did a great job in the selection and his service was fantastic...
