Just what the doctor ordered: not a deep-dish, but a completely delicious thin crust using good ingredients, ordered in the right size (12”) for two, and we finished it all up. That’s the efficient magic of Little Star Pizza. We’ve had the deep dish before and we think it’s keen, but we’ve liked the classic flavors of Zachary’s for so... More

The vegetarian deep-dish pizza didn't blow my mind. It's just good. But: the service is excellent, beer is fresh, and it's a friendly, relaxed place. It was a good one-time experience. But I don't need to go back. 3 star food, service bumps them up to 4.

This is quite unusual. Not your typical pizza joint. Rather, a "hip" restaurant and bar that serves a special pizza. The thick cornmeal crust is unique, as is the special tomato sauce. I had the Classic, and it includes sausage and mushroom. It is really worth a trip to try this dish. You've never had anything like it. The Garlic... More

Twinkle, twinkle Little Star, you are as good as they say you are! Ate there on Monday night (first time they not slammed in several days) and found great pizza. Salads excellent with homemade balsamic v! Chianti complements great food. You won't be disappointed if you're on the Disavero in San Francisco. Ciao!

Not the best I have ever had but definitely a place where you can get a solid thin crust pizza. They have deep dish as well, which we didn't try. The thin crust pizza was crisp with a nice garlic salty crust. The pizza came out hot but what we really liked the best was the garlic bread. Nice selection... More

We were about to splurge on a more expensive and trendy place down the block but walked in here instead...to our great delight. Very good pizza (and a crust to my liking) with quality ingredients (although a bit too much cheese on the one I ordered), down-to-earth service, local clientele, family-friendly. If you want trendy, there are plenty of other... More

My girlfiend and i came here on our first night in san francisco because it was close to where we were staying. We had to wait 30 minutes to get a table because it was busy even on a sunday night. For good reason. We ordered one pizza each - 12 inch (the "small"). I had the greek and she... More

I just love the Restaurant. Its located next to the alamo square, nice view and nice feeling especially on the weekend. It looks little bit crappy from the oudside, but from the inside its very charming. Its a little bit dark, Alternative, waiters with piercing and tattoos. LOVE iT! Best thing was the fresh Garlic Bread but the Pizza was... More

We had a late lunch here in mid November 2012 and had some great pizza. It is a very friendly restaurant and recommended to us by the maitre d at Nopa restaurant as they were closed at the time. The waiter suggested we share a large pizza between 2 rather than get 2 small pizzas which ended up saving us... More

The Chicago style pizza served at Little Star rivals anything I've eaten in the city of Chicago itself. The crust in incredible: crunchy, buttery not to thick and cooked to perfection. The sauce was fresh and intense. A 12" pie will easily feed 3 people. It's not a large restaurant so plan to wait to be seated. It's well worth... More
