I am super-picky about ice cream, so when I say this shop has the best I have had, believe it is GOOD ice cream. If this were sold in grocery stores, it would put Haagen-Daz out of business. Two locations, worth going out of your way. Tasting many flavors is encouraged--the Brown Sugar is superb, as the coffee, vanilla, rich... More

I'm almost hesitant to write this review because there were already long lines every time I went by. The line goes quickly and you get your ice cream fast but then there was always a hold up to pay. This seems to be the norm because I went there at least three times when I was visiting SF. It's a... More

was nervous about the line, but it goes very quickly. i did ginger with spiced pecans and it was amazing. all the flavors looked great, with a lot of different things you won't see elsewhere. next time i'd skip the cone and just get it in a cup, b/c the cone just distracts from the ice cream and the toppings.... If customers vote with their feet, then the TWO roped-off lining up areas easily nominate this place as a stand out ice cream store in San Fran. You wouldn't be mistaken to thinking this was a nightclub or cocktail bar with the lines and enthusiastic waiting customers. As far as ice cream places go this is fantastic and when you're... More

Great interesting flavors. And all were fantastic. We had the roasted banana, mint chip, and brown sugar. Yum! We saw the review in USA today that it was in the top 10 in the world and had to try it while visiting SF.

This place is a must visit - both the creamery and the actual store. There is always a line outside the creamery but it is well worth it. I was lucky enough to experience being first in line and having a line form behind me once, but that is a rare occasion. The brown sugar, ginger caramel is just incredible... More

We were not planning to get ice cream, but when we saw the line out the door at 9:30 at night we knew we had to check it out. The line actually moved pretty quickly and service was friendly. I tried the ricanelas and malted vanilla, and my husband had the cookies n cream and coffee toffee. All were delicious.... More

I love ice cream and had read in an article that this one is the best there is on the (American) market. Therefore it was a must when we were visiting San Francisco. We were lucky enough not to have to queue even though there were people going in and coming out with cones from this place all the time.... More

Salted caramel ice cream to die for. That's all you need to say. I stumbled on this place several years ago before I knew it was famous and was totally smitten by the salted caramel ice cream. I waited in line 45 minutes!!! today to try it again and am still smitten. The hazelnut with cocoa nibs was pretty darn... More

Bought some ice cream in cones and walked around the area. The ice cream was nice and creamy. Lots of flavors and friendly sales people.
