Long wait to get to the counter. Despite all the time at hand, just couldn't pick 1 or 2 items to eat!! Every thing here is great.
Having read some of the overwhelmingly positive reviews online about Tartine Bakery, I woke my family up and dragged them across town to the Mission District where we stood in line waiting for the bakery to open up. Needless to say, we were not disappointed! The croissants rival those of Paris in terms of flakiness and flavour, while being generous... More
Never thought I'd pay ~$4 for a croissant, but wow these are absolutely worth it. It's pretty hard to go wrong at Tartine!
We went to Tartine Bakery to buy desserts to take home, and the line was out the door. And for good reason.....the items we bought were of the best quality!! I would very highly recommend a stop here for anyone in the San Francisco bay area.
Had a brunch there and the bread is good for sure, but all in all just good finger food. Nothing impressive.
The morning buns are off the charts! I could gorge on the morning buns all day everyday! You could smell the freshness of everything. Its a cozy place but if you don't like tight places then take it to go. Morning's are busy with big lines. Service could be a little better. But otherwise the place is very enthusiastic.
Unless you like ATTITUDE with a high dollar price this place is not worth it. Have been there many, many times and tried many things --tartine, bread pudding, cookies, bread, morning buns, croissants. The only things I found to be good are the croissants and the morning buns. Don't waste your money or time on anything else. We actually hated... More
This bakery is a bit out of the way and when we arrived there was a line out the door. It was worth the wait. If breakfast bread pudding is on the menu do not hesuitate to get it. You will thank me.r
We went here on recommendation and were not disappointed. Although the queues were long, service was quick, informative and friendly. And whilst you wait for your meal/take-out, you can help yourself to coffee. Sandwiches and quiches were divine with excellent and interesting fillings, for instance, a broccoli cheese melt on the turkey with some beautifully undercooked baby carrots in bay... More
This place is a must go to if you're in San Francisco. It's delicious. The Morning Buns are well worth the hype.
