This isn't really a review of the restaurant, as it is still closed due to the fire last year. But I did see an article in the local paper in March that forecast a December re-opening with a state-of-the-art kitchen and a new chef and menu. Let's hope that turns out to be true!. Friday afternoon music is great, with... More

The only halfway decent restaurant on Molokai closed due to fire last year. No indication it will reopen. We went to the par this week and had a Mai Tai and Lava Flow for $23! No offer of any food. The bartendress gave her boyfriend the leftovers of my wife's Lava Flow. Classy.

Fun place to go to on Friday nights to see the locals play and sing. They get the crowd involved that was a lot of fun as well. The drinks are very good as well as the service.

Come for drinks, stay for the view. The service wasn't all that great, but the drinks were tasty. Mixed tropical drinks cost between $7.50 and $8.50 each.

No restaurant, but still offer grilled foods from the BBQ grill. The food from the grill was great. The bartenders were so nice and we got to know each of them by name during our stay. We even got to see the Friday night live entertainment.

We went to the Hotel Molokai / Hula Shores Restaurant for a nice dinner, only to find that a fire in June has the restaurant closed! No time schedule for re-opening, and it didn't appear that renovations had even begun. We did have a nice drink on the patio and saw a great sunset. Disappointed, as there aren't many nice... More

The Hula Shores is the only "up scale" restaurant in town. Great view over the water; tiki torches at night; good local music. The Friday evening sing along is not to be missed. Felt like being an expat among new friends singing the last song....Food is very good; menu includes locally grown. Staff was attentive and friendly both nights we... More

The food quality varied from very good to average. We had good service and the ambience was hard to beat. Not many choices on Molokai and this is among one of the best. We ate here twice.

Now THIS is old Hawaii. From 4:00-6:00 on Fridays a local Hawaiian group sit around a long table with their ukuleles and guitars and sing the old standard Hawaiian songs plus some old standard American ones with the audience singing along. Some of them get up and dance the hula to the music. The restaurant and bar are outside along... More
