We had never had sushi so fresh. It was like eating butter it was so tender. I don't think we will ever be the same eating sushi back home. It just won't compare! You do have to make reservations since seating is limited. Some have commented on the prices being very high and we found it to be very reasonable.... More

We have eaten here a number of times and it is always a winner. Simple and fresh - plain and simple. Fish the way it is meant to be, from the ocean to your plate. Very quaint, small intimate setting where you will get to know your fellow diners. Just oustanding.

If you like a traditional style sushi, this is the spot in Kihei. Very small and intimate place, basically just a bar area with few tables. Great chef and the most amazing fish selection. It is a choice spot for local connoisseurs and given that this is a rather tiny space it fills up pretty quickly, so reservations are required... More

This place has the best sushi on Maui. In fact it was probably the best sushi we have had outside of Japan.

Wonderful sushi--super fresh and in demand. The location is unlikely (at the back of the Dolphin Plaza). We couldn't get seated before 8 pm, so if you want to eat any earlier you need to call a few days in advance (minimum). The environment is small and casual. Sushi, sashimi and maki all prepared by one person. If you love... More

Here we go. My wife and I read many good reviews about Koiso Sushi Bar online. So we made a reservation a few weeks in advance (you must do this in season), and arrived with great anticipation. It was hard to find. It was tucked into the back corner of a small strip mall with no obvious signage to identify... More

I ate here two years ago with my wife and thought it was excellent. This time I am convinced it is the best sushi I have ever had-and I have eaten sushi at least once a month in multiple cities in various countries. You must make a reservation well in advance! I ate there on (February 12) and he was... More

We had to get reservations 3 days a head, so if you like sushi, call ahead. The place is tucked in at the back of a strip mall and is kind of hard to find.
