Impeccable service and superb food. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I can not for the life of me remember the name of the dish, but it was outstanding! It had a tomato broth, which had a nice kick to it, and plenty of fresh seafood; scallops, calamari, clams, shrimp. Absolute deliciousness!! They also had wonderful freshly baked bread and a... More

Great outdoor setting around a courtyard with live music on most nights. Very good menu items and professional service. I had read some bad reviews prior to my 2 visits to this restaurant but I have been pleased on both of my visits.

My family dines here 2 or 3 times a year and food is always excellent! Our recent trip we had the day off and came in for lunch. We were seated right away and the tables seemed to fill up quick behind us. I don't know why people are complaining about the value, it's a great value!! we had lunch... More

We always have one lunch at Gaylord's, because of the beautiful setting along with good food. We were not disappointed this time. I had chicken and mushroom crepes, which were great tasting, and came with a small salad. They serve yummy iced tea, which doesn't need anything added to it. Service this time was pleasant but lacking. And we missed... More

Very lovely setting. The food is only ok. Go to Gaylord's for the great feeling of luxurious seating not the great food. We had four dishes and on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate the food a 6 or 7 at best.

The plantation property is really lovely. I'm glad that we visited here, and I would definitely eat at this restaurant again. The food was delicious. Our service was a little slow, but I got the impression that our server was fairly new. I don't think our service was the norm.

Family vacation and this was on the list of must stop locations. The Plantation was beautiful within itself. Dinner was great, I had the seared tuna and it was cooked perfect and melted in my mouth. Everyone enjoyed their course. Dessert was a hit or miss for everyone. Service was okay until time for the bill and we needed it... More

My wife and I signed up for the Plantation Owner's Evening which included a Luau and a prix fixe meal at Gaylord's. The meal was outstanding. It was four courses. Everything was great. The restaurant is beautiful with a very relaxing bar setting. Our waiter was nice, but things got a bit confused in the middle of the meal, and... More

The location is terrific, very peaceful setting and wonderful service. We had generous sandwiches for lunch that were very good - if just a tad salty for me. Overall, consistent and good, with great atmosphere. Definitely go to the rum shop afterward for a tasting. Koloa Rum is delicious!

This restaurant is located in the mansion on the Kilohana Plantation in Lihue. We discovered it on a stop at the plantation to buy tickets for the Luau Kalamaku. We fell in love with Gaylord's and visited there several times during our week stay. The menu is interesting making it hard to make a choice. I ended up ordering 2... More
