“good old fashioned donuts in a no-frills setting”

I live just a few blocks away from Laramie's DD, and boy is the smell of donuts in the making ever the best daily sales pitch. It might be better-named Very Early Morning Donuts, as the hours run from pre-dawn to lunch, and they will often close early when they run out of donuts. The donuts are delicious! I recommend... They cook the donuts the day before. The local grocery stores have fresher donuts.

When I moved across country this summer, I had the pleasure of eating donuts from Daylight Donut. These donuts come in the usual variety (glazed, sprinkles etc.) but they are THE BEST.
