I have been here a few times and always have had an above ave experience. The food is very good and the service also. I suggest a reservation as this is a small place.
We dined at 7:30 pm Friday - they were turning away those without reservations. We enjoyed well made cocktails, soup was very tasty too. I really liked my sirloin and fried shrimp combo; my companions panfried walleye tasted good but could have been a little crisper. Neat old time atmosphere and prices are reasonable for this quality of place. Service... More
one of the best pieces of meat i have had. the prime rib was great and the onion rings were wonderful. great atmosphere in downtown la crosse
Dark bar and atmosphere with charming old world décor, lit by twinkling white lights. Simple great drinks, classic steaks, pasta and interesting seafood choices. Casual yet classy feeling. Really special place without being pretentious.
We stopped here early in the morning before doing some site seeing. What a wonderful friendly staff!! The Manager was extremely welcoming as were the other staff present. We were served the most incredible bloody marys we had had all weekend. Although we didn't get an opportunity to enjoy their food, their prices were reasonable and the menu items sounded... More
Digger's is kind of a novelty restaurant in decor; very much a Rat Pack/gangster type decor with accompanying music, making it different from other restaurants in La Crosse. My wife and I went to dinner at Diggers Sting on Friday night at 8:30 for our Anniversary. We each had steak and they were very good. Need to try some of the speciality drinks.
Just a hole in the wall place in downtown Lacrosse, and one of its best-kept secrets. The décor is cheesy rat pack/mafia 60's style, but it is quaint and intimate - it really works. The food was some of the best I've ever had in the area. The escargot and jalapeno cheese curds are highly recommended for appetizers. We had... More
I live 20 minutes from Diggers and have been going here for 20+ years (whenever I can). They have awesome Chicken Alfredo with wonderful garlic toast. Love the décor. Hasn't changed much in years, but has a touch of class.
Located in La Crosse's vital downtown with a free parking garage right across the street, this humble-on-the-outside restaurant would be easy to overlook, if not for TripAdvisor. We've eaten here twice in the last few weeks, both week nights with just a few other tables occupied. We had a good experience both times. We like the dark candlelit atmosphere with... More
