Great for lunch, it's a nice location and the décor is very interesting. The menu is limited and the food is good.
I needed to be back in Cedarburg and suggested to a cousin that we meet for lunch at the Anvil, since my husband and I had such a great dinner experience in Feb. It wasn't extremely busy at that time, (1:30 on a Tuesday), but it wasn't completely deserted either. A great selection of food. One cousin and her daughter...

Good place for lunch next to lots of antiques stores. Good onion rings, fries and burgers. Friendly staff. Noisy.
We went to the Anvil on a Friday night in March. We were quickly seated and were asked if we wanted a table on the main floor or the second floor loft. Ask for a table on the second floor loft as it offers a great view of the entire restaurant.

We stopped here for lunch during a shopping visit to Cedarburg. We had the grilled chicken sandwich and the patty melt burger. Both sandwiches were delicious. Fresh ingredients. Onion rings are terrific. The place is small inside with the tables close together, but, still a fun place to have lunch. Service was very good considering the waitress had to run...

This restaurant is small, but it gives off a homey/intimate feeling. We recommend the Anvil chicken and the BBQ burger....

Not much to dislike. Food was excellent, staff courteous and knowledgeable. Tables are not too close together. It is in a old blacksmith shop. We chose to dine upstairs to avoid the bar noise, although it still traveled upwards it did not interfere with our conversation. The steps are sort of steep and wooden so if you have problems opt...

Met there for dinner with friends, and we had a table outside with an excellent view of the creek and water fall.
