My husband and I had the great pleasure of dining at The Herbfarm last night (5/18/13) - and for those not familiar with this amazing establishment, it's a culinary feast, where the entire menu is cultivated around a seasonal theme that rotates every month or so. And the theme for May? Salmon Nation Hands down, this was one of the... More

A group of five went to the Herbfarm for the spring forager's dinner. The menu seemed overwhelming - so many unusual and unheard of ingredients - but we also knew it would be a unique experience. First, for those having not been here, everyone sits at the same time. We showed up for a herbal tea and a tour of... More

A must to do, to see and to taste. The restaurant is extremely interesting in terms of its history, its decor, and especially the food. Menu changes and you eat what you get but make no mistake what you get is fabulous! Worth the huge price tag! You gotta try this at least once. I know we'll be back ,... More

Wonderful food with perfectly chosen wines make for a great meal. Add the fun of the European common table, and you have a great evening. The owner, the chef and the sommelier talk about each item served between the courses, which can seem pretentious to some, but since this is definitely a special occasion restaurant, you won't have to listen... You MUST experience the nine-course dinner created with local herbs, meats, cheeses, and all that goes into making delectable and interesting tastes. Paired with wonderful wines, you are taken on a journey into the exquisite world of culinary creativity. It is educational, fun, beautiful, and unforgettable!

The Herbfarm is different from most restaurants. The evening can start out by an introduction to the herbs that wil be found in your drinks or food. Next there is an introduction to the staff. I enjoyed it, as it provided background, but this may not be to everyone's liking and would be less interesting to a repeat customer. The... More

Tasting menu was average, portions tiny, we were so hungry we went out and ate again after dinner. Service was also less than average, we had to ask for bread to fill our bellys. I would not go back. You are better off eating next door at the Barking Frog, which is excellent, especially in summer seated outside.

Never in my 56 years on this planet, dining around the world, have I experienced ANTHING close to the experience of complete transportation to the most sensuouse level of enjoyement as New Year's Eve at The Herbfarm! I've been here twice before, but after last night, I will increase my frequency throughout the year ten fold. The service, the subtle... More

This was fun, educational and entertaining. We really enjoyed our experience, but please note that this is a particular experience that absolutely will not be for everyone. It is rather didactic, with a lesson in herbs and an explanation of the food and wine choices along with a self-gratulating cheer for local source cooking. My parents, brother and husband were...
