This is a stunning location - and you should go for that reason alone. The first time we went the service was so poor that we were not going back. But others picked it for an evening out. What a difference a friendly server makes! Other help were also attentive. The food, good enough, some of it a delightful surprise,... More

Superb mussels with a nice sauvignon blanc and a delicious teriyaki chicken sandwich with an ice cold Stella served with a smile and interest all the time overlooking a great marina and open water.

Warm day, perfect for an afternoon luncheon getaway, perfect location!. Excellent, healthy salads and perfect, unobstructed views of the Puget Sound. Years ago, this location had a restaurant, I believe, called the Jacaranda, it is no more, and Anthony's Hearthfire is an awesome replacement. Service was great, responsive, but not obtrusive. Try the bisque, yummy. Recommended~

For being part of Anthony's small chain of restaurants, Hearthfire seems autonomous and more or less unique. The location is brilliant and the building designed to accentuate the view from almost every table. We were a party of six, seated at a round table in the center of the room but elevated so the 200º view was as lovely for... More

The food here was excellent ,but the service was so-so. We both had the chicken and ribs. They where the best ribs I ever had. The huckleberry cobbler was also exteremely good, in fact I want some now. The view is great from any seat. And it had a good amount of people here at 3pm on a wednesday afternoon,... More

During a business trip in March 2013, I ate at the Hearthfire Grill twice in three nights with two colleauges. The first time we went, we were able to take advantage of their earlybird special, and we all ordered Lingcod - which I'd never heard of before. It was a mild white fish which was cooked to perfection, and flaked... More

Have eaten here several times and each time has been wonderful. It's a beautiful restaurant that sits right on the shore with a spectacular wall of window that makes you feel as though your sitting on the waters of Budd Bay on Puget Sound. The Olympic Mountains in the distance. Service is always top notch. They do a great job... More

I had been to the regular Anthony's here in Olympia and had a great experience so I thought I'd test out hearth fire. Regrettably I was not graced with the same experience. The atmosphere was ok and the actual restaurant and decor was clean and formal but the service was lackluster and the food was awful and extremely overpriced for... More

My wife and I went a little later than usual (8 pm) and were seated by the window immediately. Although it was too dark to enjoy the view, we are good at using our imaginations. We enjoyed our seafood dishes. The portions were okay with an appetizer although no leftovers to take home. The service was okay although we had... More

This place was PACKED for the current Legislative session - but the staff was very attentive, the Chef/kitchen crew got amazing food prepared and to us without delay and the atmosphere and view only added to a perfect meal. The Spring Salad greens (glazed pecans, blue cheese crumbles and light berry vinaigrette) were the perfect start and our server helped... More
