We had lunch here during a visit to Williamsburg and thoroughly enjoyed the offerings. Food was served on disposable plates but that didn't distract from the great taste and the unique atmosphere. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Friendly staff and the quantity and quality was very good. There's another location in York which is in a more historical building. Whichever atmosphere is your preference, you won't be disappointed with the food or service.
We really enjoyed this place. The setting in an old motel is charming. And the food is very good too. I had the meatloaf sandwich, my wife had a chicken salad sandwich and brunswick stew. The bread was terrific. We also had a dessert sampler, which was quite good. They really do seem to bake from scratch.

We've eaten in the restaurant for lunch often -- good sandwich and salad selections -- but the best is their carrot cake! Often buy a whole cake or a slice or two from their bakery counter. Exceptional!
Looked for a place to meet up with a friend for lunch in Williamsburg via tripadvisor and saw good reviews for this place. Great place to grab lunch. I got the lemon bar for dessert and ending up leaving with one of their mid-sized dessert sampler boxes so I could try their other delicious treats and enjoy them at home....

It's hidden away on the west side of Williamsburg, but for unique cuisine with a distinctly Southern flair, it's well worth the drive. The ham biscuits are a must, the Brunswick stew especially notable, and the dessert specialty is carrot cake....but get there early as it goes fast! They were sold out by the time we arrived, but the raspberry...

Loved this place... we ate thier twice during our stay in Williamsburg. Great soups, great pimento cheese spread, and the desserts are awesome!
The food here was great! The portions were large. Three of us shared two orders. We had the chicken salad sandwich and the turkey sandwich. Both came with soup. The carrot cake is wonderful! We ate at the Jamestown location, which is small, with limited tables, but the service was quick. Great place for lunch!
Just had lunch at Carrot Tree and did not go with my favorite, the U.S. Grant wrap. Today in honor of St. Patricks Day they had a WONDERFUL corned beef sandwich. It wad served on marbled rye with swiss cheese and 1000 island dressing. WOW!
This is a very quaint place for luncheon, probably more the the "chick" rather than the "rooster." There are several different rooms, the service is good, the food is pleasing to the palate, and the cost is average. I'd definitely recommend The Carrot Tree.
