In a town like this, i expect fish to be fresh, and it was. Everything was okay, and in good quantity. Price was slightly high. Nice waitress. However, I do not regard this as an 'Excellent' restaurant and will only return if I am close by and hungry. More

Home baked breads and deserts. Fresh and carefully cooked fish. No trip to the area would be complete without a visit to this restaurant. More

On the coach tour circuit - you have the feeling of being processed. Food was ok but nothing special. Service was not particularly friendly. We recommend that you go to Woody Point instead to eat. More

Pricey though, doesn't mean it wasn't worth it. Much of the menu was unavailable today, but that's due to the fact that there are only 3 days left in their operating season. I'd rather go to a seafood restaurant that orders in smaller amounts as needed, than find out they're pulling everything out of the freezer. Food was good, service... More

After eating so many greasy french fry meals, we were delighted to find a real restaurant with great "panfiredcod" (they pronounce it like it's all one word) with veggies (usually as further travels proved - peas & carrots) and a true salad. Bakeapple berry parfit includes a surprise dash of liquor at the bottom. Worth the drive to the end... More

Great location right on the harbour, and we had the best meal of our trip - fresh halibut. The service was quick and extremely congenial, and the prices were extremely reasonable. More

Gros Morne is a fantastic area but is vast. Trout River is one of many little seaside villages where it just so happens there is a fantastic restaurant serving some of the best fresh seafood I have eaten anywhere. We all had lobster which was fantastic. Well worth the drive!! More

My partner and I ate at the Seaside Restaurant in Trout River for dinner recently. Even though it was a Friday night it was very quiet with few customers. Upon arrival we were promptly seated upstairs at a window table with a wonderful view. Iced water was provided without asking which is not as common these days as one would... More
