We visited the Butlers on Friday 7th June 2013. We ordered our food and were eventually told it would be 5 minutes as they had dropped one meal. Three meals of the four arrived and 5 minutes later the fourth arrived. Whilst chewing on my salad I came across a piece of glass which I fortunately did not swallow. I... More

Went for a funeral which my relative paid £10 a head but what we got would even cost 50 pound. We got three small platters of mixed sandwiches which was hard around the hedges , salad, dips, chips . They forgot the sausage rolls but after being reminded a tray of 50 sausage rolls was brought out to my dismay... More

We came here as an alternative to two other local restaurants that we frequent which are of very good quality deciding to give it a go. As I enjoy real ale I was happy to see Caledonian beer available. Good start! We were seated quickly and given menus. We had chicken and ham pie and black bream main meals. The... More

This pub has been truly transformed, it's absolutely lovely. I could easily spend a lot of time there, super comfy bar area with tweed and soft leather seats.. Great bar and very cool wine rack the place looks awesome. Had some food, a superb mushroom soup and a nice sirloin steak with a beautiful blue cheese sauce. Delish! Wine is... More

Visited the Butlers after hearing about it from friends who attended the opening night, we were not disappointed! Great decor and wonderful food matched by the prompt and attentive service. Exactly how a modern country pub should be. Best of all is that there is a large bar area that we could have a drink in afterwards. Beer isn't as... More

A long overdue refurb now done, new management in place, and only just opened. Excellent start and I am sure that it will only get better. Staff on the boil, food of excellent quality and beer to drink for ever! (need to get Cask Marque) This is the place to be seen at and also to dine in. The management... More
