This classy establishment had a unique menu and delicious food. Oh and the beer selection is insane. Definitely a must in Montpelier.

One incredible burger and fries! Worth the trip for the food. Management was a little weird about seating are somewhat large party but eventually came around. Many beers and hard ciders for beer lovers.

The food is quite good, but it is overpriced for pub food. $8.00 for a bowl of soup? This is a beer pub, not the Four Seasons or Per Se.

The first impression of Three Penny Taproom will not be the best. The decor is forgettable, not the place you'd go for a romantic evening. But this place isn't about romantic evenings. It's about beer. And it's about hanging out. And come to think of it ... who wants to hang out in a quiet, romantic spot? This place is... More

This restaurant is divided into two separate areas fro the bar and the restaurant area. It seemed plenty of locals were present having after work drinks in full when me and my party arrived around 6 or 7 pm. The chalkboards throughout the front of dining area and around the bar displayed a fairly wide variety of beers both local... More

We stopped into 3 Penny Taproom after going to a wine tasting in Montpelier. We each had a beer and a burger. My burger was so juicy that it literally squirted to the next table. The only complaints I have is the food was over salted and the dessert menu was very small.

Went there on a whim, not really knowing how popular it is. Fortunate to get in before the Saturday lunch crowd. Our knowledgeable and friendly waiter confirmed that my husband's order of stout braised brisket would be a good choice. He had that with an Edward from Hill Farmstead Brewery--how can you go wrong?. He said it was fantastic. My... More

We arrived friday at 5 pm, then we ordered a beer and the waitress asked us right away what we wanted to order to eat. We told her that we wanted to enjoy our beer before ordering the meal. She rushed us two times back to back to order and eat fast. Because that's the way it is at this... More

The bar is nice and many locals hang out there after work drinking local beers. The restaurant however leaves a lot to be desired. Expensive and low quality.
