This place will make you into a true Vermonter. I have been here many times and will return again. I love the feel, and at Christmas it will surely put you in the holiday mood. It is also a great place to catch up with some great adventures stories and presentation from local explorer. If you like to hike the... More

Honestly. we came here because it was St. Patrick's and the pub here is called McGrath's so we thought we'd get our Irish on and we did that well. The pub was appropriately dark and conducive to drinking. They were all fulla St. Patrick's cheer, and charging a cover to pay for the folk musicians, which was just fine by... More

The food was excellent, one of the best Guinness stews I have had anywhere. The portions, however, are modest (which was ok, because it left room for the fabulous desserts). The bread pudding is to die for. The atmosphere is a typical pub, a bit loud, very casual. The only negative was the service. Only one waiter/bartender was on duty,... More

Good Irish selection. Had an awesome "hearty Irish stew". Interesing huge rocks in the dining room that the hotel built around, plus a fireplace - very rustic. No obnoxious, loud, bad music. Just down the road from the Mendon Mtn View Lodge.

I have to say the first time I ate there the food was bad. The second time I ate there the food was good. So I would say it's a flip of the coin. An expensive gamble, because the meals are NOT inexpensive. The people in the place seem to have a crabby attitude toward people that just want to... More

We stopped in here briefly while climbing the nearby DEERS LEAP WALK. It was very cosy and the food was fantastic1 It was a shame we were not residents and had to drive home as the Guiness was amazing! lovely old building that has been built around the local rocks!! well worth a vist or a stay!

We had dinner and breakfast in the dining room during our stay. This was included with our reservation for the night, it was so nice to have this as an added perk to staying there for a night. When we arrived we made a reservation for dinner later that evening and the dining room was packed. There were many choices... More

Have been going to the Inn at Long Trail for the past 25 years. Murray and Patti McGrath (owners) and Owen, Bob and Okie are like family to our group. The dining room is warm and cozy especially when it is snowing on the big picture window. The food is very good especially the Haddock, Scallops, steak and the Guiness... More

I have stayed at the Inn many times and love the food there. My favs are the chicken pot pie, Shepard pie, and steak... The main courses come with a soup starter which are always very tasky with the fresh bread. Desserts are home made so try to save some room for one!

We ate at The Inn at Long Trail on New Year’s Eve and went to their pub afterwards. The dinner was a special menu with a choice of appetizer, entrée, and dessert. Each course was quite good and there was plenty of food. The setting is intimate and comfortable. We hope to be able to go back for next New... More
