Stopped through Burlington on our way to Smugglers Notch. This place had a lovely lunch. My husband had blackened salmon sandwich and thought it was delicious. I had shrimp and scallop entree. Visited this restaurant for lunch while visiting Burlington. Portions were generous ,priced well and the service was excellent. Best part was the view of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains.. Don't miss the fish tacos.. More

It was good and I ate too much. My wife had the Pub Steak and I the all you could eat clam/shrimp special. Done to a turn and very filling. There was no room for desert. It was early and the place was almost empty ............. when it gets full it gets noisy. More

I go to this restaurant often. The fish is always fresh and their mac and cheese is excellent! Their desserts are huge and they even have fried dough. I highly reccomend this restaurant. More

Our family loves "The Shanty", especially since they winterized the place so its not so cold in the wintertime. Recently, I noticed some new additions to the menu. While, I can't remember what we all had, i do remember that all four of us were very happy with our meals, the staff was personable and friendly. More

Visited in January and was pleasantly surprised by quality of food and service. They have fresh oysters and local seafood. The place was recommended by a local and I've heard another local person ordering off the menu and kitchen accommodated. Not sure what it is like in the summer , but I would come back to find out. VT is not known for their seafood, so being able to step into a restaurant that smells "fishy" and resembles the seaside joints up and down the Eastern Seaboard is pretty nice.
