Sure it's got the usual - classic building, good coffee, sandwiches, light groceries - but how about a dynamite wine selection shared with Pangaea restaurant? And in the middle of one of the most inviting villages in Vermont

The coffee is excellent here. The baked goods are mediocre. A friend said the breakfast sandwiches were good although I did not try them. The food in the deli case looked a little sad. Convenience foods and wine filled the rest of the store. I am glad they are there- for the coffee if no other reason.

I stopped at Powers Market late in the afternoon to pick up a sandwich for dinner. They were out of roast beef and did not seem sure what else they had. Cute sandwich shop on the edge of a quintessential vermont town square. Good sandwich too.
This is a cute, well kept historic fixture in North Bennington. It's gone through a number of owners over the years, but the recent ones have kept up with the renovations. It is quite pricey, but a nice place to look around and stop for coffee. Most of the items sold are of the gourmet variety.
"Powers" is a combo grocery store/ sandwich place near Bennington College. No pretense - just tasty, generous, well prepared lunch fare. A pleasant trip back in time.
This is a cute market, with a deli for takeout or eat-in. They have about 4 tables if you want to eat in. The service can be slow, but if you're not in a rush, relax and enjoy the good sandwiches and variety of teas and coffees.
Sandwiches were great and price was right. Nice store front and conveniently located.
