I can't say enough about the staff and service at The Stagecoach Inn Restaurant! Our Celebration of Life luncheon for my mother went from 25 to 90 in very short order with VERY little notice. Carol was great to work with and handled my many frantic phone calls with much grace and patience. We changed our minds, the reservations, menu... More

We ate there yesterday for our anniversary. We have been there quite a few times and always thought it was good, but after the meal yesterday, we probably will not go back. The hushpuppies were not hot and pretty much tastless. We were eating as soon as they opened at 5pm on Saturday. The shrimp cocktail and fruit plate were... More

Imagine that you just got off the stagecoach and were tired and hungry. This restaurant has a lot of history. We were promptly seated and greeted by the waitress. They have a Tex-Mex lunch menu which is printed. But like the early days, the waitress will recite the daily menu to you. I was going to have a sandwich, but... More

I was seriously underwhelmed. I expected some historically great food in a historical setting. You could choose from the printed "tex-mex" menu or have the server recite the "traditional" menu. I wondered why the menu wasn't printed. She gave my 12-15 choices so fast I had to ask her to repeat. She seemed agitated so we ordered off of the... More

Very disappointed in the quality of the food after hearing so much about this historic place. It is very pricey. I just wouldn't go back.

We visited this restaurant because we had family members staying at the Stagecoach Inn and they suggested we have dinner together at the restaurant. The waitress was brusque from the start. She rattled off the list of available entrees, did not explain what courses were provided with the main entree and seemed a bit irritated that we weren't familiar with... More

Stagecoach Inn is one of the true old stagecoach stops in Texas. For decades they have offered good food and rooms to travelers along I-35 in Central Texas. Can't think of anything that hasn't already been said. Give them a try. Our last visit was for a quick meal on the way to San Antonio. Food was good and plentiful.

The Stagecoach Inn isn't modern, isn't fast food, and isn't a place to hurry through. It is a historic hotel and restaurant. If it isn't your cup of tea or you're rushed, do fast food drive through. Food was tasty, plated well and a generous amount that allowed a take home box. Open only 4 days a week, try to... More

For the price we paid, $50+ for two people, we could have had a MUCH! better meal someplace else, like say, Texas Roadhouse. I had chicken and my dinner date had the steak. His steak was tough and stringy and my chicken was rather dry. Our vegetables were bland and the baked potatoes looked like they had been sitting under... More

Sicne I moved to the area I had heard about this place from several people who raved about it, in addition to its historical character. Medicore from the start. For a 2:00 lunch we stood in the looby for five minutes before anyone greeted us. Menu is boring. Food likewise. Then had to wait 10 minutes for our check. As... More
