People where slightly rude/hurried. The taste was "ok" but it costs way too much. Won't be going back here.

I have been really impressed with the Prairie House on Hwy 380, but this one is nowhere near as good. If you want good BBQ, go up to 380.
Worth the drive from Denton. Cute atmosphere, and great service. Food is always great, especially the burgers and steaks. They have a full bar too.
This place was formerly the Prairie House - but same people for the last 20 years or so. We've eaten here a number of times while visiting family in Keller. We've always gotten good service, good food and drink, in a 'frontier shack' setting, lots of antique 'stuff' decorating its wooden walls. We prefer to choose a booth. The menu...

Classic southern menu with BBQ, Grilled and fried meats and fish. The grilled pork chops and the bomb! Another fav are the Banditos - chicken wrapped in jalapeno, cheest and bacon, grilled and brushed with bbq sauce - addicting.
Western barn wood and rusty farm implements kinda let you know that you're in for a kitschy experience, but that's okay. Menu hasn't changed...

We had the "Banderos" appetizers (chicken and shrimp wrapped), fried pickels, and we had the Gulf Shrimp and the Grilled...

This is one of my favorite places for steak & potato. It has changed name and is also called "Reno Red's Frontier Cooking". On highway 377 through Roanoke, TX. Burger or steak - either are good. It's a little rustic here - not real fancy - but guality (not quanity but you get a good size meal) of food counts...

The food is well made and priced. The atmosphere is ok and it has a nice feel.
Prairie House Restaurant had a great chicken friend steak! It has recently changed names and we have yet to try out the new restaurant. I am unaware as to whether it was simply a name change, which would be odd since it's been Prairie House for a long time, or it it changed owners.
