Been here two times, I like the fish tacos, but it would be nice to be able to feel my tongue after I'm done...wow was the Habernero sauce hot! Had the shrimp the second time and they were just right...nice and spicy. Good beer too. Music was too loud for my liking.

Fun atmosphere and good food. It was a little slow the afternoon we went, but I think we were between rushes. Staff was friendly and attentive.

Rustic atmosphere. I ordered a drat & waitress asked short or tall, I said tall. Being from Michigan I was expecting a 20 or 22 ounce draft. No. She brought me this large mug, maybe 28+ ounces. It was starting out good. For dinner I had the Texas hunt platter, Antelope steak, venison sausage, & quail. The antelope was good... More

The menu lists dishes according to the different regions of Texas. Service was prompt and friendly. When I asked for a recommendation from our server he had no hesitation recommending a platter. I tried the smoked ribs with sauce on the side which was a large portion and quite tasty. My spouse tried the chilli relleno which was very good.... More

The food is pretty decent but the place needs a cleaning. Graffiti in the restroom stalls and the tapestry covering the booths are not clean. I probably will not return.

When my husband and I first ate at this restaurant the food had a very strong smoke flavored taste to everything we tried which really overbeared the food. Recently we ate here again and the food was much better. It still has a smoke flavor, but not strong. They really have good cornbread in the shape of Texas. 😊

The waitress was rude and their is no way this food was worth the wait and price. Our bill was 90 $ for 3 people that ordered under 8 dollar prices , with no beer or wine, the waitress tried to add her own tip.

We were on a quick trip to the Dallas area and looking for lunch. We just happened to drive past Love & War in Texas so we decided to try it. The whole experience was enjoyable. The atmosphere is very Texan - rustic and wooden! The food was great. I had the Brisket Tacos and I have to say, that... More

Love and War in Texas is one of my favorite restaurants in all north Texas. The menu is a tour across our great state. The staff is attentive and friendly each visit. The food is excellent without exception and the bar well stocked. Those huge $3 drafts? That's what we call a Texas shot glass. The atmosphere is pure Texas... More

I've never been to Love & War in Texas that the food wasn't wonderful and the atmosphere amiable. The waitstaff is always attentive and, really, who can resist fried pickles?
