Several folks recommended this restaurant as the best fine dining room in town, and they were all correct. Located in a bed and breakfast, the food, ambiance, and service were all quite good for our evening meal.

The Stillwater Inn is such a charming place to have a special dinner date. The service was so friendly and professional. Our particular waitress was well versed in the specials and the main menu. My wife and I celebrated our 27th anniversary at Stillwater Inn and really enjoyed it. This is the only 4-5* restaurant in Jefferson and the service, food and atmosphere is excellent! We started with Escargot (excellent) and had the Salmon and Cranberry Duck (excellent) and ended with a special coffee drink and glass of Tawny Port. Superb!

We really enjoyed the food at the Stillwater Inn on our recent trip to Jefferson. The people that worked there were very friendly and helpful in discussing our plans for the next day. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the fact that the serving sizes were normal and not the over sized portions so common in restaurants today.

The restaurant's website currently indicates that the restaurant is closed on Mondays, but I called to be sure. The chef/owner who answered the phone, assured me that he would be open on the Monday evening of my planned trip to Jefferson. He accepted a reservation, and was very informative. Wonderful food and excellent service. A real find in a small town. Not "everyday" prices but very good value for a fancy evening dinner. We have been going there for over 20 years. It is still great! Highly recommended!!!!!
