Our favorite dish is the roast beef lunch-great flavor--always tender. Try their greens-always good. Corn bread is a real favorite!

We were looking for some breakfast place we hadn't tried before and found this place on Yelp. It's in a strip mall and does not look all that inviting at first. The inside is kind of early 80's - paneling, older booths, "Cheers"-looking bar. The breakfast buffet is on tables in banquet warmers (no sneeze guards) - overall it looks... More

I have been eating here for years (20 years ago waste first time). They serve 3 vegetables with your entree . I love the meatloaf and always get a to go box because the large portions. I need to try that chicken fried steak but I just can't tear myself away from the meatloaf. Definitely try the fried okra and... More

My waitress was attentive and actually did a pretty good job but the food was horrible! I ordered chicken fried chicken and fries and they were both cold and stale. Melvin's has really gone downhill since I visited last (4 or 5 years ago) and they lost a customer today. You can always say mistakes happen but when you pay... More

Good "home cookin'" - served quick by a friendly staff. Reasonably price and is located in a small strip mall with plenty of parking. Large portions served up from the kitchen HOT.

I recently was in Ft. Worth for my Sister-In-Laws funeral so I was not in a good state. We decided to go to this place because my brother and his wife went there when times were better, and our whole family (8 people) had an incredible experience. Peggy, my sister-in-law always loved their drink called a Hurricane so we all... More

Get there erly for lunch, place fills up. This is a local neighborhood favorite. Been here many times, some days better than other but never bad. Good gravy dishes, generous servings, Resonable prices. I have never had a bad experience here, all the waiters are extremely nice, and helpful. If one thing was better, to me, would be a completely... More

My family and I have been going here for years. They have excellent food anytime, but my favorite is their breakfast buffet. Never had a bad experience here.
