Entering the beautiful Hermitage Hotel with friendly doorman sets the stage. The bar is a classic, drinks are good and generous and service is comfortable. Then move to the restaurant. Breakfast was a problem because of the construction noises could be heard in the restaurant. Dinner was quiet and the food good, though pretty expensive.

I was taken to Capitol Grille last night and came away deeply disappointed. I ordered the $65 aged ribeye steak and was unimpressed. I liked this a lot. But I wish I hadn't chosen the trout I chose. It's a very classic atmosphere kind of place, the salad I had for a starter was really good and so were the sides that we ordered for the table, especially the truffle mac and cheese.

We stopped at Capitol Grille for lunch on a Saturday. We were immediately seated and the service was superb. We enjoyed a wonderful Saturday brunch. The atmosphere was gorgeous and I would love to come back for dinner soon.
