My wife and I stopped for lunch and had an excellent meal in the bar at sensible prices One of few places serving real chips, not processed frozen potato. Service excellent

Great place. Fantastic setting, the most delicious seafood soup ever with nice bread and my scallop and chorizo dish was gorgeous. Lovely young man serving and all in all a super place to have lunch.
Location is lovely. The menu looked great and the food was fine, good sized portions, would recommend the steak. When the main course arrived, we asked for some wine, where a menu was bought but never followed up, so the service wasn't up to scratch. Was about half full in the dining room side and managed by a couple of...

This place is one to visit again and again! It's not just an eating place, and I must say it's an excellant place to eat, but it's a great atmosphere and the staff are so friendly. Their specials board is full of delights with fresh seafood on all year round. Family friendly and also for that wee time on your...

We came in here one wet evening when we were camping and feeling a bit forlorn, and would have been happy with anything hot. We sat in the bar area (real ale) as it felt cosier than the restaurant side, and to our relief and joy the food turned out to be excellent. We had a big bowl of mussels...

Tripadvisor and personal recommendation and it was lovely!! A cosy bar with a wood-burning stove, a good menu and a board with lots of specials gave us a great choice. We both started with Cullen Skink, a lovely hearty fish soup. The other half had a Thai Green curry and I had scallops cooked in garlic and lemon and served...

Great place for a leisurely lunch. Fantastic location with views across the bay, perfect for sitting outside on a sunny day. The food is general pub food, with a good selection of seafood, and the portions are generous. The mussels are always great, and you can't go wrong with their fish and chips.
Hadnt been up near lochgilphead for over 8 years and after a visit to the Tayvallich Inn I will never leave it that long again. After a long day of fishing in possibly some of the best schenery in the whole of scotland the only thing that could have topped the day would be the "fresh food" claim from the...

This is a nice location with views of the bay. Portions are good size and food is a good standard for pub grub. Is not 5* as chips are frozen, but a good dining experience.
