It's a bit of a man's bar and quite chilly in the restaurant, wasn't pleased with the food at all but the management has changed since then. went for drinks with the girls on Friday and it was delightful, you can't beat the view. More

The extensive refurb of this Brodick landmark hotel has been expertly designed and offers a new and fresh bistro and bar to the area. There are spectacular views across the bay (though slightly frustrating that a large Co-op next door was deemed necessary......slightly spoils the all round view). The staff were very friendly and professional (the bistro manager in particular),... More

The pasta was brilliant and good value. Breakfasts were interesting, tasty and filling. Service was knowledgeable and friendly. The views from the restaurant complemented the experience. More

Have to praise the restaurant manager for going the extra mile to accommodate a picky vegetarian. Willing to speak to the kitchen and to offer alternatives to the options given on the menu. For the meat eater, the lamb was to die for. Great ambience and junior staff very efficient. More

We ate in the bar one night and the brasserie the other. Food was good, well presented, tasty and a bit different compared to the other restaurants on Arran that we tried. Friendly staff and good service. A great choice for food in Brodick. More

Have only had coffee and light lunch there which was very pleasant. Recently renovated and to a high standard in my opinion. Good views of Brodick Bay from the 'Sportsman's Bar/Brasserie'. More

My family, friends and i all really enjoyed our meal at the Douglas. It was very tasty (I had a massive mound of mussels), not too pricey and we were very well looked after by staff - despite having to cater for allergies. There's a wonderful view over Brodick. More

We really enjoyed our meal at the Douglas hotel. The service was very efficient but friendly too. The menu isn't extensive but the quality more than makes up for that. Will be back. More
