We ate at the golden dragon last night.the food was not edible and had to send it back,there was one member of staff on who was not welcoming or helpful in any way,when it came to the bill getting paid she would only refund a half lager shandy and a bottle of beer off the bill. Very nice food, good Kung Po chicken and I enjoyed it very much. More for your money here than at Auchrannie resort. More

I'm a fan of Chinese food but this didn't tick any boxes. The decor is slightly depressing and tatty even though the service was friendly enough. The main problem is the clumsiness of the food and the presentation, everything was extremely thick, sweet and sticky, very glutinous, and the food plonked onto plates and into dishes, in one case down... The golden dragon in brodick is by far one of the nicest Chinese restaurants I have been in. The food is great value and the staff are great. Highly recommended, unlike the shanghai takeaway at kames corner. I wouldn't step foot in there even with a gun being held to my head. Horrid place More
